Snoop Dog and Wiz Khalifa Launches “The High School Tour”

Rap buddies Snoop Dog and Wiz Khalifa recently announced their upcoming “The High School Tour” this December. The nationwide, six-date launch tour will kick off on December 5 to promote their new collaborative album and film titled “Mac and Devin Go to High School.”

Set in a Los Angeles high school, the movie revolves around a valedictorian hopeful named Devin Overstreet (Wiz Khalifa). Despite his intelligence, Devin cannot write a decent graduation speech. He realized that he lacks real life experiences because he was deeply absorbed on his education throughout his high school years. He then meets Mac (Snoop Dog), a 15-year senior and a “skillful” ladies man who is in love with the substitute Chemistry teacher at his high school. But in order for Mac to win the Chemistry teacher’s affection, he has to finish his high school education in just three weeks.

Devin helps Mac with his studies, while Mac helps Devin gain the real life experiences he needed to write a great graduation speech.

Though no official release date is set for the movie, industry insiders reported that “Mac and Devin Goes to High School” is due for a January 2012 release. In relation to this, Snoop Dog and Wiz Khalifa will launch a six-city trek next month to promote the movie’s soundtrack which will be available on December 13 nationwide. The album’s first single titled “Young, Wild and Free” is the pair’s collaboration work with Bruno Mars.
